Cactus Flowers

30x40 acrylic on premium heavy duty canvas with painted edges, wired and ready to hang... I started a series of floral paintings that included my love of geometric designs, stenciled backgrounds, large paintings and flowers. I have the cactus that these flowers were on, however it has only bloomed once in New York state since we moved here, 16 years ago. It bloomed all the time when we lived in California. However I do have lots of new baby cacti! But I do miss these beautiful blooms that were often bigger than the cactus itself. The stenciling is used as the background pattern.
