This is the first piece from a colored pencil self portrait series titled, “The Secret Place.” In this piece, I am, in a sense, rolling over on the ground uncomfortable and misshapen, overwhelmed with the welling emotions life comes with. There is a light that I have seen, and I appear to be reaching towards it, fighting fatigue.
